Weekends are usually reserved for family time, but with my daughter away this weekend, I had 'some spare time'. So I used the opportunity to fit in a home visit on a Saturday afternoon (I don't do many of them). It turned out to be an emotional and reflective experience, reminding me of how precious time truly is, the power of communication and the need to make the most of opportunities.
After the visit, I felt a bit deflated but also humbled. It’s such a privilege to be trusted by someone and their whānau in a vulnerable moment. That feeling stayed with me when I got to the studio, and it made working on something I’m so passionate about — women’s health — feel even more meaningful. Michelle, thank you for being part of this, and for sharing your time with me. It’s not just work; it’s now become a sense of responsibility to share not only the knowledge, but the application, and I appreciate you helping me do that.
And then, just because (I still don't feel like a 'doctor' (or a grown up!).. — we ended the visit with some cartwheels! 🤸♀️ I’ve been working on straighter legs, so of course, I had to try! Training for my centurion decathlon, and a headstand is next on the list...

I honed my foundational photography skills during my five-year tenure as a full-time Forensic Photographer in the Police Force, followed by several years as a reliever. This unique experience equipped me with a keen eye for detail and a profound understanding of capturing moments with precision.
Transitioning from crime scenes to love scenes, I spent several years as a wedding photographer, immersing myself in the art of capturing the magic of matrimonial moments. As life progressed and my own children grew, I found my passion evolving towards newborn and family photography, cherishing the beauty of growing families through my lens.
Recently, I have embarked on a new adventure, discovering the serene and breathtaking world of landscape photography. Each phase of my journey has enriched my skills, and I am excited to continue capturing life's most precious moments, from intimate family portraits to the grandeur of nature's landscapes.
