This series is especially close to my heart. Captured in the quiet rhythm of everyday life, it tells the story of my parents, who have been married for over 60 years.
Through these six frames, I wanted to show the beauty in the ordinary – the laughter, the silences, the small gestures, and the unspoken bond that carries them through the ups and downs of daily life. It’s a story of resilience, love, and togetherness that only time can write.
I’m humbled that this work has been recognised with a Gold Award at the 2025 NZIPP Iris Awards, but more than that, I’m grateful to have documented this chapter of their journey for our family and future generations.
Sometimes the most powerful stories are not in grand moments, but in the gentle passing of days, shared side by side. ❤️

This piece is more than a photograph — it’s a tactile experience. Each edge was hand-torn and then layered back onto the image, creating a textured depth that draws you in. The stillness of the hut, tucked quietly in the forest, contrasts with the intentional disruption of the paper's edge.
It’s a piece that truly comes alive in person — no screen can quite do it justice.
